We are having a hard time installing optifine.... we followed all the direction on http://www.minecraftmine.org/optifine-mod/ this link. is this right? help?

Ummm idk if anyone will see this but i downloaded optifine and it didnt really help much. im now at FPS 10-15 instead of 5-10. It stinks. help. pls.
