Moderators and Clan wars

Just a simple question that I do not know the answer to; Why do moderators have to have a Senior Moderator spectating them if they play in a clan war?

From what I am aware of it's because the fact that mods can abuse commands which the sr.mods can see such as /gf. I may be wrong about that though.

But if you can't trust a moderator surely they shouldn't be a moderator in the first place?

The point of not letting Moderators participate in clan wars without a Sr.Staff is so they do not abuse power.

Second : They are not allowed to join clans without informing Sr.Staff, this is so they do not get to sucked into clan war/clan gameplay in general and forget their role as a moderator and responsibilities.
