On the Day That Is Valentines Day...I Wrote to Him

Hello everyone!

So today, as you should already know, is Valentines Day. On this beautiful day, I would like to share with you a story of mine.

Just over a year or so ago, a friend of mine was dating this guy named Jeremy. During this time, I could not help it but develop what seemed to be a crush on him. However, with his situation, I knew I would never stand a chance. You see, my friend and Jeremy seemed to be in a stable, happy relationship. So I backed off.

As months passed, my friend and Jeremy had split up and I heard nothing from them. You see, Jeremy never really knew I existed as I only really knew him through a mutual friend.

Anyways, just over a week ago, we actually started talking as friends. We shared stories, inspirations and feelings. As today seemed fit to express myself to him, I decided to write him a Valentines Day message, in which I would love to share with you all,

On the Day That Is Valentines Day​

Jeremy,

I write to you on the day that is Valentines Day. I do this because over the last couple of days, you have told me that you are tired of loving someone that is not willing to love you back.

On the day that is Valentines Day, it saddens me to know that someone as caring and as goal oriented as you, is hurting because someone cannot provide you with something so beyond the limits of the universe, something that not everyone can understand.

Love is infinite. Love has no boundaries. So they say anyways...Love can be found in friendships, in family members, in pets, in music, in dance, in travel, or even in something you do not already know of yet. Love can be shown in writing, verbally, in gifts or in spirit. It is here where I say this again, love is infinite. Love has no boundaries.

On the day that is Valentines Day, everyone should feel loved no matter their situation, no matter their story. No one should feel upset or alone.

On the day that is Valentines Day, I write to you because I am thankful of you giving me the chance to become something meaningful in your life. When you messaged me, I felt...Happy and more inspired than I have ever been. This is something I have not felt in the last couple of months. Happiness is rare and is found in the simplest of places. It is found where you put your best effort, your precious care, your most valuable memories. It is found in love.

On the day that is Valentines Day, I can only hope that our friendship continues to grow in to something where we both can find eternal happiness.

On the day that is Valentines Day, I wish you happiness, success and love in the things you hold dear to your heart.

On the day that is Valentines Day, I tell you I am grateful to have met you.

On the day that is Valentines Day, I can tell you that you are already someone important to me.

On the day that is Valentines Day, baby, it is cold outside. Only with you can my soul be filled with warmth and comfort.

On the day that is Valentines Day, I wish you a Happy Valentines Day.

Anyways, I woke up this morning to go to work and I have not yet received a response. After three hours at work, I had my first, well-earned, break of the day. During my break, I ran straight to my phone to see if I had got a response, and I did!

His message read,

That is a very special Valentines Day text and I would have to say I have never done one for anyone myself, nor do I recall ever getting such a sincere and meaningful Valentines Day wish either. Thank you.

With this, I can only hope our relationship, wether it is a friendship or possibly more, could grow from here.
