Can't tell until you experience it.
And if you experience it you're dead.
And when you're dead you can't tell.

You can't 100% trust what happens, but just somewhat follow your religion and what it says.

For an atheist like me (technically Greek Orthodox but really an atheist at heart) you just go with the flow and whatever happens then it happens

In all honesty I believe that no matter what happens, happens for a reason. No matter what happens to me after I die I will be happy as long as a lived a long fulfilling life.

I believe nothing happens after you die. You dont go to an afterlife or anything like that, you are just dead. Many people cant and wont accept that because they are afraid of that concept and believe in an afterlife so death wont be scary. Make the best out of the life you have now on earth because there isnt anywhere else to enjoy it. Death is like before you were born, you are not here.

I am a Catholic, so I believe in Heaven, a better place then here on Earth...

However I have a scientific mind, and sometimes it is hard to believe what my religion states.

But I read a story how one day a priest was becoming unfaithful and while turning the bread to body, and wine to blood... The items turned to real flesh and A positive blood, the same type of blood found on Jesus' tomb wrapping.

How do I know this is true? Those same items are kept in the Vatican City.

I have thought about the possibility of heaven being one large dream. One nights worth dream is like 4 seconds. So imagine when you die, your last remaining brain activity creates a really long dream, in which you think about heaven or an afterlife, although it isn't really happening.

i really, really wish i had the ignorance to be unintelligent enough to believe in a religion. i really do. i always see people praying and believing in a higher power, and these people are usually happier because they have faith in something. their beliefs give them strength and hope in times of need.

however, being raised in a family with a dominant outspoken atheist father, i do lean towards the side with a strong belief that when we die, there is nothing.

sometimes i wonder how consciousness is even a thing, i wonder how i'm a living being and why i can act and remember and infer when, in the end, like my parents and my grandparents and my future children's children, we will all die and our life serves absolutely no purpose other than procreating and making the earth a little bit worse for the next generation.

but i don't get to thinking about that stuff too much, because its bad for your health.
