I feel quite dumb, but where exactly do I drag the server.dat thing? In the bin or saves or what?
And where do I find the current server.dat file? I'm not smart

When you open up the .minecraft folder, the server.dat file is located near the bottom. Just delete or move that one and replace it with the server.dat file that you downloaded.
