Name is subject to change.

For the past 2-3 weeks, I have been working on an MCSG map. My first thoughts were based around abandoned cities, flying ships, other planets, heaven, when I suddenly got an idea. Why not make a cruise ship? And so, in 2 weeks I made the cruise ship in the screenshots below. And when I was done, I thought, 'nah. too plain.' I was about to start a whole other project when an idea hit me. Why not make it exciting? Hovercraft and helicopters battling in the skies above, with subs targeting the ship, as well as some defending it. Which is how I got my storyline... Enjoy :)

STORYLINE
The Ocean Pearl, an Australian made ship, sailed over the ocean for 3 decades, cutting through wave after wave. It was deemed Earths biggest ship, and it soon became an Australias Icon. Now, in the year 2050, when only a tiny pool of water remains on Earths surface, the ship is permanently docked at sea. unable to return to the dried-out harbour of Sydney. Unable to dock in the dried out sea bed of Darwin. The ship contains the remaining 15,000 Australians who survived the war. At least, it did. The thought-to-be-dead Americans return in even bigger Hovercraft, even Faster Helicopters, even stealthier subs, and even mightier ships. As a battle rages high up in the sky, as the bombed ships slowly sink, there will be only one way of sorting this out. The remaining 24 soldiers whom have long since lost all their equipment, must fight to the death. They must scour the ship for supplies, some will team up while others will go solo. But in the end, only one will survive.

I hope you enjoyed that little story, In a weeks time the ship will be done.

PS this will soon be followed by another map to continue the story - Dried out Sydney. This is just a sneak peek though, I will soon have a post and some pics up about it :) for now, enjoy these.

ABOUT THE ACTUAL MAP
The ship itself is 300x42. It will have many secret/hidden rooms, with signs left by the dead Australians to support the story. It will have passages through oxygen tubes to surrounding defending ships, as well as attacking ships. It will have tier 2 hidden in secret places, as well as in challenging places like parkours. The ship will be war-torn, with bomb scars, fires and some rooms you wouldn't expect on a cruise ship. I estimate the map to be done in 1-2 weeks time.

Nice looking, but the buildings are too repetitive, nobody will want to go into them. Sort of like sg2.

Yes, don't worry that is just the base :)
As we are speaking I am adding cool stuff to it + more variety & making it look war-torn :)

The one thing I dont like about mcsg is that they are no maps that have a theme... Like alot of the maps are open with so many trees, it boring. I would like to see this map added.

mmm good idea here is some tips
  • Try and not make it look repetitive
  • Made the front of the ship more oval like rounding
  • add some water slides or casinos inside the cruise ship like most cruises have
  • Finally make sure that its big enough do have a decently long game

Awesome but, just put some more land around it OR make the water into lava. Because you dont want people to swim out and never be found so yeah.

I really like the idea for a Cruise ship map! However, what will happen if people fall off the ship? Maybe the water will automatically kill them, or maybe there can be some islands nearby as well. I do wish you luck on the completion of the map, I would love to see what the cornucopia looks like. :)
