Texturepack Not Working! IMPORTANT

So I am a graphic artist. I have been making texturepacks for about a year now and I've never had an issue like this.

If anyone can help me out please comment a solution below!!!

How the problem occurs=

1) I put my zipped file in my 'Resourcepacks' folder in the '.Minecraft' folder in the '%appdata%' folder.
2) I open the minecraft launcher and launch my game.
3) I go to options > resourcepacks > then select my pack and click 'Done'
4) My game goes through a temporary freze (which is common when switching resourcepacks)
5) My game loads the default resourcepack and puts my selected pack back in the left hand side (selection area)


If you have a solution please, PLEASE tell me.
