The fishing rod glitch

Hello, so recently I've been thinking about the fishing rod glitch, the one we're you cast your rod and then switch to another item in your hotbar to prevent the rod from being used, so I've been thinking about it for a while now and isn't it abusing a glitch because your basically getting a everlasting fishing rod so you will never have to get another rod. Tell me what you think about using this glitch.

i think it is perfectly fine, even though fishing rods are a major part of some peoples games

Fishing Rods don't last that long relatively, and this hardly effects game-play too much. We have dozens of other glitches at the moment we're already trying to fix, so this won't be addressed anytime soon.

It is, I recently learnt the magic of how to use it. I don't understand how I used to play without it.

It's a gamechanger as Billa said, but having a fishing rod break isn't a gamechanger as you can easily get a new one..

For me atleast, the fishing rod is my best friend. I actually would rather have one than a bow and FnS.
