Thoughts on 1.8..?

Personally I disagree with this decision. I mean, it's nice and all to be updated.. but I feel some players don't really need it. First of all, my FPS drops like an anchor, and 1.8 isn't great for PvP.. :/

I seem to be one of the only people who get more FPS on 1.8... Anyway, i think that it will take a little bit of time to get used to it, but we need to update at some point. I would also like to point out that there were a lot of people who didn't want us to update to 1.7, now nobody wants to leave it

I like the physical changes to the game, but is it really that hyped after a years work? I'm also getting weird bugs from it, but that's probably just me.

Edit: if were talking about MCGamer updating to 1.8, eh, I won't complain.

Actually, I get better FPS on 1.8 than 1.7 too .

Honestly, 1.8 is not that bad as I expected it to be. I get better FPS and I bow a lot better, which helps me a lot when pvping. Oh, and also I love the new bow animation . Some things that I dislike is how I'm not able to see if I'm doing damage to the other person (usually when you hit the opponent, their whole body including the armor lights up red. In 1.8, only the skin lights up making it more difficult to see if you are actually dealing damage to them.)

The most annoying thing about 1.8 is that you can't see people past the render distance. Since I need to play on tiny to maintain near 60fps, on 1.8 I can only see people like 10 blocks away.
