Why do some maps have so many ender chests?

Why do some maps have so many ender chests? Some maps even feature ender chests only at the cornucopia. Why? is it because the mcsg has multiple tiers of chests? Does it edit ender chests and change it to a better tier of chests?

MCSG (and most survival games servers) has a tiering system for their maps, Regular chests are tier 1s (basic stuff) & enderchests are tier 2s (More advanced stuff). Enderchests will transform into regular chest ones the game starts, but they will still contain their good loot.

I guess you could say it's somewhat a 'glitch' in the system? But yeah, as Sanders said, they turn into normal chests when the PreGame timer hits 0, it's nothing different.

I wouldn't say a glitch.. It is supposed to be like that so they know what is tier 1 and what is tier two. Some times, there are cool exploits where map makers can make it three chests in one. I like it.
