1.7 and 1.8 was unfair for users playing on 1.8 as 1.7 has PvP advantages over 1.8. By upgrading to 1.8 fully, we got rid of this imbalance.

Minecraft 1.8.3, the latest update, should fix some FPS issues/help make the problem better. If that doesn't work, I recommend OptiFine and/or checking 'Use VBOs' in settings as on.
