Oh god, the negativity in the comments here.
I will admit, maybe it was a bit premature to post the thread already, but as other building the map alongside me have said, it was to excite the community with the comeback with some of the Team Kosmish builders alongside new ones.
I think most of the comments have been harsh, when the map its barely at 10% done. Us as part of Team Kosmish, know what we are doing and we are familiarized with building maps. Regardless, things haven't even started, things aren't developed enough to give a full in detail critique of the map; So please stop the harsh comments.

Also, as for the other Trivium members talking about private issues, address them to Krafty privately —just saying this if it comes to happen again.

Valley's builders...I think not. This is soo mutch diffrent than Valley side's build style...

But GL ;)
Oh and for you, this is not a ValleySide sequel. If it was a sequel, the building style would be the same; but as its not...
We are just people from Team Kosmish, who previously made ValleySide, and that doesn't means we have to make an exact copy of ValleySide again: #OriginalityFTW :p

Just to add as well valleyside is loved for the perfect balance between tier 2's and tier 1's and also that everywhere of valleyside is a pvp area i mean no disrespect when i say this but Valley's buildings and areas are not detailed and amazing builds like sg2 they are simple and work well. Mainly what im trying to say is, is that we love maps for their game play and not so much their structures, so when you get the chance to play this map please judge it then. but the fire house does look pretty Sweg xD

Looks okay at the moment. just lacks detail and looks empty but it aint finished so i will not judge it until its finished. But all i wanna say is please dont make the hotels and taller buildings accessible at high points because most players wont want to trek all the way up to the highest building to find a randy like me camping and crouching while staring out of a window with their render distance on tiny and looking at people pass him by while he has a smile on his face and waits the whole 30 mins so he can make it to D-match and say yes #3 and /kill. so yeah make elevators that only go up to high spots so this ^^^^^ don't happen :)
SG2 ah, em, so, ya, you failed epically in this test.

Perfect balance of tier 2's and tier 1's? What the hell are you smoking?

But I agree with the rest of your points.

This map is looking very promising for being 10% done. Seeing as it is so early in its construction, I'm not going to write a full critique, but I will pitch in with some cool ideas, suggestions, etc. As makers of Valleyside, people generically are going to want to see another Valleyside. Following pattern, it's only logical to make this map kick so much ass that people forget about "what other map was it that they made..?"

Make sure to balance aesthetics and PvP aspects and you're all good to go. Something that adds texture to a map, like shading in a skin, is grass. Too bad of it's "bad for PvP", a) people don't have to fire spam everywhere they go and b) maps look basic without it. (i.e I hate the new Holiday Resort corn. It looks just.. Bleh w/out grass). Add block texture to buildings, and keep the terraforming nice, but simple. World edit/voxel sniper/whatever else is your friend.

Kthnx, vital out.

A lot of the builds seem very plain and monotone. Maybe spice it up with some block patterns?

Just a quick note that we're on a short hiatus because my server is undergoing maintenance, and I have to scrounge up money to pay for its bill.

As for your suggestions Heron we're basically just laying the foundation at the moment with terraforming and awkwardly shaped, untextured buildings. After that we're doing exteriors, interiors, glossing over the map, finishing touches, finished off with finishing finishing touches.

Vital I can assure you that I am personally overseeing that every crevice is accessible. Not to mention a free running experience that would make Ezio drool. With the right finesse you'll be able to bend the map to your will. Whether its escaping, chasing, or barricading yourself at a firehouse clutch point *hint* you won't be disappointed.

For 10% done, this looks really good. GL with the rest of it. A small suggestion i have for the long run is not to make just hotels, but also some smaller houses along the beach. At least where i go on vacation, there are gigantic hotels, but theres also collections of villas which are rented out as well.

Anyways, can't wait to see the finished product. Reminds me of where i go on vacation actually.

Agree 100%. Small houses are much more pvp-friendly. You can just hop in, grab a chest or two, and get out.
