Anybody who purchased a stats reset should be happy if this happens. You're being given yet another chance to improve yourself statistically, as well as a chance to rationally compete for the top spot on the leaderboards.

People who play to improve at fighting will improve dramatically as a lot of players will be playing much more competitively. Will also be much more fun.

How much time you've put into this leaderboard was entirely your choice and I think everyone should have kept their minds open that this could've happened at any time. Now there's a chance it could happen and half the population is denying the idea for the sake of "unfairness" and not getting to play on with their current stats instead of allowing something more updated to be put in place.

With a new leaderboard, it'll give all current members an equal opportunity to visibly show off their skill and compete at an equal level. With the massive influx of possible new players from the AntVenom merge and with new members joining every day, this would be a great time for new leaderboards.

Before voting no, think about more than yourself or time that people have put into their stats. People like Gravey4rd's stats will still be there for showing, they simply won't be updatable.

You tell us to think about the new players and not ourselves. We were new players once yet I still had to work my way up and I managed to. If players really want to climb the leaderboard they can, it's not as impossible as everyone claims it to be. Let's say you get top 10 in the new leaderboards after 2 years of hard work to get there. Then suddenly another reset is incoming. Stop this madness, even the guiness world book of records took interest in the leaderboards for the "most minecraft survival game wins". With a new leaderboard, what are they going to do, reduce the total amount from last time? If they continue that is.

Seriously, mcsg why would you want to reset our stats. Surely it must be nice to see a whole bunch of players with 1,000s of wins on your servers. It means we're dedicated, we love and enjoy MCSG (at times lol). Meh, I just really hope you don't do it.

You say it'll be more competitive but that won't be the case for me, I will not be going for a rank as there will, guaranteed, be a bunch of huge teams and hackers. Even people teaming with hackers to boost stats because that already happens. It's only going to get worse. I won't feel the need to try and rank again. What's the point?

I don't this this is such a good idé, people like Gravey4rd darkrai etc.. have worked hard for this. we take me as an example, I would almost quit sg, and then I would Think my 100 dollars i've donated ( + some dollars), is just unnessecairy, i've got pretty good stats. but nowadays I don't play hardcore, then my stats would be worse than 1/10 I have a curret 1/3 ratio, i've spent so many hours, trying to get to the top i'm not The only one who spent over 3 weeks on MCSG, 3 WEEKS!!

I would rather say free stat reset or either LeaderBoard of the month or something...
But I strongly say NO to leaderboard reset

People need to understand that sometimes, letting go is a good thing.
Keep in mind that, if implemented, a leaderboard reset will NOT:
  • Get rid of your old statistics.
  • Reduce the amount of competitive players. (In fact, that would increase.)
  • Discourage highly-ranked players to keep playing. (Wouldn't it inspire them to go for #1?)
  • Be any harm to the community.
Now, there will always be boosters and such, but over the course of a few weeks, they will be out of sight on the highly-ranked leaderboards.

I personally feel that this Global Stats Reset would definitely give many new Players the opportunity to show what kind of skills they really have. However, the players whom had worked very hard to get around 1k over wind would definitely be very annoyed. So I was just wandering, how about maybe give every player a stat reset in their /upgrades of that is possible so that each individual is able to decide if they want to do their own stat reset or not. Correct me if these such things are unable to happen. I feel that everyone should be given a fair and equal opportunity. Leave your thoughts! :) Thank you!

Regards,
Razor
The problem is, people want everyone to reset their stats, so they have a closer chance at #1, but I've already got permission from my parents if this happens to pull me out of school for a few weeks, so I'll tryhard and make such a big lead that everyone will give up ;)

to anyone who doesn't realize yet, they don't care how the poll turns out. They cared enough to make it so its happening. If you disagree, may I remind you of the severely disliked voting system and CB rules kitmencha and Dave did. This will happen even if 99% don't want it. Just watch.

Most high ranked players don't play for #1, they play for fun and just rank up as much as they could. My high ranked friends were like: "well if the leaderboards reset, I think that's a calling for me to quit/take a break.

(sorry for double post)
I sincerely hope you're homeschooled.. If not, ditching a few weeks for minecraft is incredibly stupid sorry m8. No excuse for that. Also remember there's a difference between tryharding and boosting
