It's not just gonna calm down lol... There are already hundreds of hackers without the reset, so many more will come if they are reset. And there's already huge teams and boosters in so many games... Even more will be there if they get reset.
Imagine if there was ever such a thing called the hackers game, whereby all the hackers can join and proof their hacks. Oh man that will be hectic ;-;

I think that this could be a great opportunity for other skilled PvPers to be recognized. On the downside, this may cause some of the skilled and dedicated members of the McGamer community to leave. I voted yes, only for the reason that I would like to be recognized for my PvP skill. I am not trying to be cocky or arrogant, but I think I am a pretty skilled player. I think that reseting the leaderboards, it will bring new people in the the McGamer network and the server will just keep growing and growing.

Another argument I'm seeing come up over and over and over and over and over and over is "lol all the people that vote yes all have bad ratios".

Not entirely true, but let's say it is true. If you're going to use this argument, keep in mind that a good maybe... 95% of players have a ratio that is less than 1/5? We have countless players that play here, it just so happens that a lot more "elite" players browse the forum.
Some high ranking players are voting yes, but it seems those voting no are more passionate about their side than those voting yes.

This isn't the best idea. The in game community would go even more downhill. With new stats everyone will be trying to get up on the leaderboards. With that comes ratio/win boosting and even more teams than usual. Possibly even hackers who want to get up on the leaderboards.

With that logic, at the dawn of MCSG and at the v2 reset there was a large influx of hackers.
While I was not around for the v2 reset, I can confirm that hackers weren't that common towards the beginning of MCSG.
Sure, there may be more hackers immediately after the reset, but that just means more hackers to be banned.

I like the idea, everything comes with flaws like people will tryhard it and I'm talking teams of 8 at the least to farm wins, and people hacking and getting to the top BUT we need to understand even now that still happens so why let simple stuff like that stop this reset, but the point a lot of people keep bringing up is Gravey4rd.

If Gravey4rd is '#1' then why would he give up after a reset? If he truly deserves the spot then he would claim it again, also there are tons and I mean TONS of inactive people up in the top 50's so this will either force them to return to reclaim there spot or allow the new and actually active players who 'Try' and IMO deserve it, claim it now. I feel like the Leaderboard should reset, it's been well over 2 years. It's time for some change, long awaited as well.

The only point I can see that is valid is people who spent money on a stats reset to fix there ratio, it would be a lost of money on there part. BUT what about the people who can't afford it? Huh? Cheap way for a stats reset AND a way to keep a good ratio while getting there way to the top 100's.

In conclusion I think this has WAY more Positives then negatives if you fully look at the subject, I feel like people are just jumping to very minor 2 points compared to the major amount of positives it grants both the Servers and the players. Like every update, you usually question it or hate it, but then it turns out to be great when it comes out and you give it time.

If what gotcubes said will work (and im sure it will) hackers won't be a big deal anymore. Also, there are nel rules about teaming and boosting, so the eu network might be a playable place, as it was 1 year ago

I'll gladly spend less than two months breaching the top 25. My 600 current wins are from about a 2 to 2.5 week period right after I reset my stats.
YOU GOT 600 WINS IN 2 WEEKS???!?

It's not her 'job' at all to report any hackers. You're a player, you're not required to do anything. It's a moderators job, not ours. Sure it will help but don't say it's her job to do it. It wastes so much time and at the beginning there probably was less that's because hacks probably weren't as easy to get as they are now.

Hackers will increase, boosters will increase (including people who boost with hackers), huge teams will increase (although I believe with the new 'update' they will introduce FFA servers, but I don't see many servers actually being FFAs). I honestly think it will worsen the experience and well, highly disappoints me how they can just throw away our stats after working for years on them.

And please don't use the legacy leaderboards as an excuse, I don't think I've seen one member near the top who wants that, except maybe for the people who quit because their rank is saved. It's ridiculous. It's not what we want, it's what all the new people who feel like they have no chance to rank whereas in reality if you really want to, you can. I did.

Worst idea ever by MCSG.
