..."omg ban chad i shuld be new ownr uf mcsg"....Mooclan seems to be becoming the new Arena Master; he has a large enough fan base on the forums that anything he says receives large amounts of support...
Or, you know, he puts enough effort into threads that they're accessible and helpful, so he gets more support than others?Mooclan seems to be becoming the new Arena Master; he has a large enough fan base on the forums that anything he says receives large amounts of support...
I agree...."omg ban chad i shuld be new ownr uf mcsg"....

No support in sight.
all i said i disagree with molo opinion that 1.8 is harder to see...
In addition to what you've said, I would like to elaborate on some topics. To be honest, I do not think that MCGamer will lose many people at all. We've gotten rid of support for 1.5, 1.6, and now 1.7. In all of those, people were upset and complained; however, our player counts showed little change. After all, MCGamer has logged about 3.1 million people on at some time or another.
Also, adding on: The most popular complaint is that there will be lag. Perhaps the lag is because MCGamer is supporting both 1.7 & 1.8 right now. Once support for 1.7 is dropped, maybe it wont be so bad. I don't know, but please take this into consideration.
Are those mechanics based off of the version of Minecraft the server is running? For instance, if I played on 1.7.2 on a server running 1.7.10, would the knockback be fixed? In addition to what you've said, I would like to elaborate on some topics.
Every update of minecraft has changed pvp mechanics since beta.
According to several people back in beta 1.5-1.8 you could spam a bow indefinitely quickly and there was no sprint
In 1.8 beta double tap sprint was implemented
In 1.2.5 bsm became a commonly used things and from then on people had access to toggle sprint
However it was quickly patched by our devs
In 1.5 knockback broke completely, allowing people to knock others back even if they were in the red stage
In 1.6 knockback was fixed
In 1.7.2 the key held sprint became a thing and a random knockback problem became an issue
In 1.7.10 the knockback was fixed once again
In 1.8 the reach is shortened by 1/4th-1/2th of a block as well as the knockback becoming more stable and consistent
I was playing in 1.8 today, and can confirm that they already fixed the 1.8 lag-back when you sprint/fly.Edit: I do hope they fix the spectator/fly mode, where if you use the sprint fly you'd get lagged back.. i know thats the ncp but its annoying..
