Community Opinion: Boosting Reset Wins Punishment?

Should player's found guilty of boosting have their stats reset?

That'd teach them a lesson faster than just a ban (cuz apparently punishment < good ratios.) Full support.

Players banned for boosting and hacking are deprived of their stats, meaning that your stats will be reset if you committ one of those offenses. This already in place :)

Then, abiding by that, hopefully the person we've been hinting at through this whole thread will be dealt with appropriately. :p

How would you catch them?
You would normally catch boosting by simply recording them rounds in a row, where you see a certain team let the same person win around 3 times in a row.
Also, with the new update the recent rounds makes it easy to see if a player is constantly winning games by beating the same team/players in deathmatch.

An example of a piece of boosting evidence, although some video may be required aswell.

This was a few games in a row. When you check the stats of Absent, Ten and ItsYourDaddy you can see they all have 0 wins and are obviously being used to boost Charms.

I see people are still complaining about Gold "boosting"...
He's not getting banned, and he wasn't boosting. End of story.

I do believe that boosters should have their stats not reset, but rather rolled back to the point where they started boosting. If the player casually boosted throughout the entire course of his statistics, then a clean reset may be necessary.
However, I don't believe the same punishments should be given for hackers. Large amounts of people do have a change of heart, and resetting their stats may cause them to simply become enraged and hack even further.

These are just my opinions though, feel free to comment.

Who's that?
Charms - otherwise known as GoldEllipse xD You can plainly see he is boosting just by looking at his recent games; see that guy named Absent? He has been in quite a few of his recent games, and actually has no wins at all. I suppose you could argue 'Charms' is just better than him, but I'm sure he wouldn't win all the fights he has, with all the teams and other individuals he's been playing with. He clearly doesn't win every game because he's lost a decent amount, but not enough to lead me to believe all his wins are really legit. xD

EDIT: Zach's probably proved it much better than me because you can see the pictures in his post. :p

Use all of this information and submit it in case-form as a report abuse using examples from multiple games. Through that we can "deal with him appropriately" if the investigation is successful.

I can say that boosting and hacking bans are warrants of stats resets. Unfortunately, there have been multiple instances in which a user has been banned for hacking and disputed succesfully, proving that they were honestly innocent and came back to their hard earned stats being gone. We should at least save their stats somewhere in case they form a succssful dispute :)

I completely respect your opinion, although I find it hard how you can say isn't with the evidence put forward.

I do see the similarity, however he could be playing with his friends or his little brother who sucks haha.

I do think it should be against the rules, but there is no way to catch them. To ban someone solely for winning and winning with his friends seems kinda sad and a little extreme.

Unless someone is using 11 other accounts and /kill at the start of every game XD I know of some players who did that when you only needed 6 start a game for a little while.

This situation is kinda like PED use in sports. You know that over 60% of all professional athletes use PED's (Performance Enhancing Drugs) and never get caught yet they are rewarded with fame and achievements. The only people who know who is on PED's is the athlete him self and his doctor.

Just like boosting the only one who will know is the player boosting and his buddy(s) helping him.

Hm, I mean he has done this for 200 games, just to point that out. The same players with 0 wins all 3 of them for 200 games? I still think that if staff can't ban that for boosting then, boosting should be taken of the rules, because it is un-catchable.

Although, I fully see your point. I just feel like it is a little unfair on players like Gravey4rd who play solo every game, and have the top spaces taken away from them.
