A tip; probably too late already but if you get a new phone:
NEVER leave your phone charging over night. I know thats the easiest. But if you do, depends what time you put it in, but it takes about 3 hours to charge till 100%. Lets say you wake up like 5 hours after that. The phone was still in the charger.
If anything is on 100% and still charging, that drains the battery. The more you do this the worse it gets. I always charge my phone around 7 pm. And then when I go to bed at like 12 I take it out. The next morning it'll be at like 95% but that lasts me the whole day!

I understand this. Overcharging my phone has been something I try my hardest to avoid, but my busy schedule makes this hard. Some days I don't get home from school until 9PM, then with a dead phone I have no option but to charge it until the morning because I'll crash until 6AM when I'm forced out of bed to go back to school :p

When I physically can, I do my best to take good care of my phone so it'll last me these next 8 months, but it's just sad that apple doesn't put the effort into making these phones last longer. Marketing schemes and competition have completely ruined the quality of products nowadays

They actually did. The iPhone 6 has a 4 times longer lasting battery than the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 6 plus has an 8 times longer lasting battery. This was possible bc the phone it bigger. With a small phone its hard to put a big battery in it. Thats why the iPad can last about a week on 1 charge.

True, but I know in most cases, they only make these phones durable enough to last about 2 years so people have to keep coming in and buying them every time their contracts expire c:

My only problem is that my genius school does their best to restrict our coverage, AT&T is completely blocked, and Verizon has a tough time getting even 3G coverage (although ironically enough, they allow us to use our phones practically whenever). The phone searching for bettter coverage could likely be a contributing factor to the battery drainage, but the battery is still painstakingly awful.
If you have so many things from the school blocking things, that can drain battery. Your phone is trying to connect with the satellite or tower. Once it makes that connection, all it has to do it maintain it. If something blocks that connection, your phone is going to keep trying to reach that tower or satellite. Eventually, it just tries so much that it runs itself out of energy or in this case battery.

The C line was made to be more affordable, and in doing so the battery life and the specs entirely are downgraded. However, I find it odd that you would get that low so quickly. Are you making sure to close apps? Double tap the home button.

I would also highly suggest airplane mode while at school. The constant signal search is most likely what is killing the battery so quick.

Ironically, I'm typing this on an iPhone 6 with 4G because my internet went down... Again

I'm borderline OCD with closing apps when I'm done. Too often will I close something out and then less than a minute open it all the way back up :p. It's rare to see me with more than two apps open at a time aha. I tend to keep it out of airplane mode so I can receive calls and texts, seeing as we are allowed to use our phones at rather frequent times throughout the day. My biggest problem is the fact that it's a C model, I should have been more specific two years ago when I mentioned that I wanted an "iPhone" because knowing my parents they went with the least expensive option possible ;-;

Plus all that strain on a cheaply made phone tends to not go over well haha

I turn Wifi off during the day cause our school shut off its wifi rip in cheap.

Trust me, I have plenty of other stories, I was just pressed for time while making this thread. I should also mention the storage issues I have on my iPhone. The 5C is in no way an excellent phone, but it seems to struggle immensely when I start to get kind of near the storage limit on the phone. It's kind of annoying, because I tend to take a lot of pictures/videos with friends and whatnot. The best thing in my situation would be to get a new phone, but my contract doesn't expire until December. Curse you, Verizon!

Yes, and resetting certain settings, backing up and resetting, resetting, more resettting, and crying :c

PC all the way for me. I have an iMac in my house (which is actually what I'm using to type this) but I prefer windows desktops.

You have never endured the struggles of the iPhone 5c, you can't complain ;-;

While at school, my brightness is probably about the same as you. Since my school shut off it's public/student wifi, I turn off wifi and never have bluetooth on because it just murders battery. In most cases it's just in sleep mode, with wifi off, and resting.

Since our coverage is so terrible, and since the wifi got shut down, I tend to shut it down at least once a couple days per week during the school day when I'm not using it. Usually I'll keep it on to go on kik or something, but I know where you're coming from.

I do my best not to. That was one of the first things I learned to stay away from. Another tip I try to regulate is letting my phone drain itself completely down until it dies every week or so. Given my "outstanding" battery, that tends to not be a problem ;)

I will never use a iPhone, I hate the iOS! Android works so much better for me. I'm using a HTC Desire X now, it didn't became any slower in 1,5 year and it's a very comfortable phone.

However, iPads are the best tablets of all. Unfortunately, they get slow sooo quickly... And another disadvantage: Apple products are too expensive.
