The 6th Official MCGamer Awards (Announcement + Poll)

There certainly is a large amount of hype! And I am looking forward to the awards with a great big smile on my face. I think that we could go for adding a larger variety of categories. For example, this event should have both "Best thread maker" and "Best thread", as last time, only one of those categories were in that one. In addition to this, I would strongly recommend something like "Best signature", as it would help people flourish their creativity and be recognized for it. It would be somewhat of an adequate addition to it. Also, I have acknowledged some minor build teams here and there making maps for MCGamer, despite the fact that they are not official MCGamer build teams. So we could definitely add the "Best non-official build team" category. That is, if there are enough nominations for it of course.

I am extremely excited to see this installment of the awards, and what 'new talent' may be coming up. Good luck to everyone!

For my suggestion, I think we should be able to remember the 'fallen ones' as I should call them. I think people that have left the community, or haven't been seen for a long time should be able to get a shot at an award. I don't think making a banner would be really necessary for it though, but the forum badges could be something to keep in mind. The category I am suggesting is "Ex-forum-greats" category. This is purely revolving around past forumers, something to remember their outstanding effort and contribution to the community discussion. I think people like BitoBain, HalfSquirrel etc should be remembered for their efforts.

Purely just an idea, may be in need of some polishing!

This is on a side note relating towards threads. We always have the 'Best Thread' award however, there are many nice threads out there that I feel deserve recognition. Face it, the threads in there are always the "Show Yourself Thread", "Faces of MCSG", or "Screenshot Thread". Usually, nothing else is voted. I feel it would be nice to give many other threads out there some recognition, as I said before, with some sort of other award. I don't know what it would be, but something along those lines.

EDIT: Maybe "Most Inspirational Thread", "Funniest Thread", etc.
