He explained it, you can use multiple items at once when terraforming for example. I haven't tried it myself, but I'd imagine you can have the 2 blocks you're using in each hand, making more efficient block placement.

The thing with dual wielding is is that the left (new) hand's item will only be used if the right hand's item doesn't have a "2nd" function. So for blocks you would only be able to build with one hand, and break with the other, which is basically the same as it is now. Maybe it will speed up because switching blocks might be easier but I wonder whether that will make a significant difference.

I already built a little on the snapshot and at least for me, it seemed a lot smoother of a process.

Haven't had the chance to check out the snapshot myself yet, but I'm interested to see how it will work out

Personally, not a fan of this entire duel wielding plan that they got going. I just want some basic PVP to keep the game fun for me.

I think with silly updates like these (personal opinion), it draws the PVP fans further away from the game. Obviously, since I'm slowly getting away from PVP and more into moderation and things such as that, I won't mind it much. As long as it doesn't mess up the entire aspect of PVP.
