Default, it's better. You are more accurate since everything is bigger, and you're better at running with it, because then your perspective is straight.

Accuracy and parkour aren't 'better' at a low FOV. It's better at whatever you're accustomed to. If I went down to default I'd be less accurate than I am at 90.

I choose 90 because I think it's a good compromise between being able to see more and everything looking messed up.

Isn't changing settings beyond minecraft illegal?

Such as changing brightness via options.txt, I believe changing quake pro is also illegal in MCSG. (Not 100% sure though)
