A question- I know how to overlay with one block, but how can i overlay with for example 50%grass and 50%snow?
You'd have to overlay the area with grass first, and then do /b sover g5000 + /v snow_block and go over again with that. You might have to relog for the sover brush to work.

Looks good! Only I would probably make the arch less curved and more straight, looks a little bit too much like a rainbow, unless that's what you were going for :p Sean

Looks good but as Orym said it is a bit round, tonight when I have time I will add to this guide the way to make cool arches :D. But for a 1st attempt you have got the right idea :D

Thanks for the support!
I tried looking for arch tutorials, but I got these guys who tried to sound really professional while what they were making was terrible.
I guess the only way is making your own ways.

There is 2 ways to make arches using Voxel Sniper. 1) Boring through a mountain. 2) Using voxels to make a arch spanning a gap.

1) Boring.
  • The first thing you do is create your mountain where you want the arch.
  • The next step is to use a voxel brush but the block you use is air. For example. /b b /b8 /b air and create a hole through the mountain like this.
  • The next step is to use a smaller voxel brush with air and make the base wider as shown bellow.

  • The next step is to blend it melt it ect. Just make it look good.
  • You have now created your arch. Now create a river or what you want under it.

  • After you add the finishing touches it should look like this. (This arch is not the same as the one in the picture it is just one I could find quick that I could show you.

2) A arch spanning 2 gaps.
  • Step 1. You want to create a gap that is will span. This can be a cliff or mountain what ever you want.

  • Step 2 is to use voxels to create a arch. Do not make the arch to round and try have it sloping ect. Make it look realistic.

  • The next step is to use smaller voxels and create a wide base at both ends of the arch.

  • You then want to blend it, melt it ext. Make it look smooth and realistic.

  • You have now completed your arch and once you add detail such as overlaying ect it should look something like this.

No problem, if you need help with any more aspects of terraforming feel free to ask me :D
