I would take the clock, and set it to the time when I feel my worst. Because that way, I would know when to not trust myself to make good decisions. But to be brutally honest...

People think they are entitled to a soulmate. A good life. A peaceful death. But it's can only happen if you make it happen. It's rare to find someone who likes you as much as you like them. The chances of that are next to nothing. But do you know what makes you lovable? What makes you happy? What makes you successful? Yourself. You are responsible for 99% of everything that happens in your life. The thing you have the least control over? Your own birth. And I think that's okay.

You can't just hope. You have to do. Never be totally happy with who you are. Always find room to improve. Otherwise, you will live and die never knowing how much more you could have been.

A genius can spot his own ignorance. And how do you become a genius? Improve.

I disagree with that claim. Finding someone who likes you just as much as you them isn't that rare. While uncommon, many relationships are built on that structure. Can you elaborate exactly what you mean by that?
