Is MCSG digging their own grave?

I'm honestly fed up of people telling me it's my job to report hackers, no, no it's not. It's my choice if I wish to report them or not in no way is it my job.

I don't believe the leaderboard reset is a bigger opportunity for all of us because simple I, and many others have wasted a lot of time on MCSG to get high amounts of wins. It doesn't take a week to get 2,500 wins, they're going to be reset. Set to 0. The stats will mean nothing, no one will care about a legacy leaderboard either. I don't play anywhere near the amount I used to when I wanted to get top, not even close and I do not want to do it again, what's the point? This reset is ridiculously unfair for us, I mean like "Yay we get legacy leaderboards"...No, only people who have quit would like that.

Don't worry about being on bad terms, I don't take offence and everyone has their own opinions and you're going the right way about it. People who I'd get on bad terms with are arrogant people like this:

I do respect your opinion on that matter, and firstly, I have said something wrong, let me rephrase: It isn't necessarily our job to try and report hackers, but when we do it, we do something good for the community. Despite of how little is done, it is done, that way we have yet rid another bad person from the community.

I understand that it is frustrating knowing that the statistics will be reset, because of how hard, and how long you have worked to get such an honourable amount of wins and points. Despite how badly my statistics are, I have worked as hard as I could to get just under 15 wins within the game, out of over 200 games. And to be honest, I think I don't like having my statistics reset either. However, I think that I like having a fresh start, and yes, you may not think the same way, as your skills and statistics are so much more superior to what I have achieved. But from what I have heard, that although the statistics will be reset, there will be previous information for those who wish to see their old statistics. However, it is the case that the statistics will be completely wiped out, and no remnants for people to view their previous statistics, then I would definitely hope the staff would acknowledge it and instead, finalize all the information in the leaderboards, and just simply stop updating them. Then, they can save the final information somewhere else for people to view in their own time, and then they can do the reset while the finalized information in the previous leaderboards remain safe, just simply not updated. They could also go for posting the player's final information within their wall, however that may take a while as well. But I do hope that the previous statistics are not forgotten.

And since the statistics do mean so much for you, I would definitely hope there is a way to obtaining the information for your wins, and even screenshot it if you have to. Because I would know that I these statistics are valuable, and should not be forgotten. And yes, the games may be competitive, and that is true. But despite the reset, it is best to always keep the dignity to what you have achieved within the MCGamer community, and you can always keep a screenshot of it if you wish.

I will say the same thing I have said lately in all of this melodramatic threads. Ive seen all these "MCSG is dying" drama back even before the servers got out of beta two years ago... and now here's a very simple question:
In two years of all this people saying this same thing, has MCSG died yet? No.


Unless they go out of their way to, I dont know, charge people to play each game, they are not sinking.
I do beleive everything ends eventually... but MCSG has had nothnig but growth still, and when it dies, itll probably be when interest in minecraft dies too.

MCSG isn't dying, but the community died like 6 months ago.

Farther back then that I'm afraid. IMO it was around the time when OnlyMathias was banned.

I partly agree, but MCSG players are quitting more than ever! (in my time baca duds) and they move to Hive, hackers are joining.

But I guess you are right, the new community is moving in, MCSG is not dieing, it's changing. I never thought about that! Thank you :3

MCSG is amazing, they are tunneling out of their own grave. The developers are amazing, I've never seen a server that can tell if someone is hacking, and automatically kick them just from their movements. I know it is incredibly hard to do stuff like this, and they have the least amount of hackers, out of any servers. They also have the most skilled players. Although, I am not for a global stat reset, it was simply a poll, to just see if the community wants it. They weren't suggesting that they are going to do the stat reset.

I think Mineplex kicks some hackers for their hacks, not sure how though :/

The leaderboard reset was a suggestion, and they're gathering opinions on it. Read the post next time.

If you are offended by people saying "get rkt" "gg 10 hearts", you need to grow some thicker skin.

If you think you can do better at getting rid of hackers, record and report 'em yourself.



You have issues and should probably go see a professional.

True about the report them stuff but i do not think it is ok to be a bad sport and say things like gg10 or ez or rekt noob ..... It's just very rude and people should not do this because it might anger some peopl and it might hurt their feelings and if you want to be treated a certain way treat other people the way want to be treated

I'm complaining about the dumbest stuff ever? I'm complaining about the fact my hard work is getting taken away from me. If you don't play anymore then feel free to move away from the forums. If you mean the reporting situation, I'm fed of people telling me what I have to do if I play MCSG by basically saying it's my job. No it's not. How is that dumb? gtfo kid.
