Yea I killed one person like this and he warned me he will ban me.
He told me I was breaking the rules.
I told him I am not breaking the rules because I do not remember I read anything like that so I went to check out and still not found anything about fishing rod in official MCSG rules.
So I made a post to be sure.

Yeah, you definitely wouldn't get banned for that. The only reason you would is if you verbally abused him in chat or something like that.
