Lets talk about SG2...

Time to come in and crash this thread.

SG2's my least favorite map by far. I really, really, really don't get why people give it so much praise.

I find the gameplay to be boring, the giant towers to be an annoyance, and the corn to be one of the worst in the game. Can somebody help me out here?

But the map does like nice, can't deny that.

SG2 is arguably the BEST SG map out there. It is so well constructed, that it mimics man so well it almost feels like your really there.

Right now my top 3 are:

1. Survival Games 4.
2. Survival Games 1.
3. Avaricia.

My top 3 change all the time, but SG2's always been near the bottom of the barrel.

P.S. In case anybody's gonna try to say that I'm somebody who's new school, and only plays maps that are small, you'd be wrong. I also greatly like SG3, and love Kharmunrah. I was also one of the very few people who legitimately liked Hungry Hills back when it was implemented.

Well we all have different oppinions I literally hate solar frost; it's the only map I will quit on if it gets voted but I know its in alot of peoples top 3.

SG2 is really good but the newbs hate it cus there's no chests in the open but when you're pro at the games SG2 has a LOT of good chests.

SG2 is not played for a couple reasons. 1. Expansion: Many people are new to the game, and SG2 is a very old, yet superawesomesexy, map. This is kind of like The "Breeze and SG4 Generation" when noobs grew up on those two maps, making it the only two anyone ever played. Trust me, I was here a year ago, I went days with playing only Breeze. The second reason is that because so many new players are on and don't remember the good old days, there aren't enough people to spread the word about good maps and why they should be played! We're stuck over here playing moonbase, Breeze, SG4, Freeze (until removed), and other maps that most of the seasoned community does not like.

Im not so sure about SG2. Idk if thats because I wasnt here in Beta days or whatever, I heard things were pretty cool back then.
The corn on SG2 is one of my least favourites :3 It encourages people to fist everyone straight off, which is annoying but I guess part of the game.
I admit the buildings look awesome. But for gameplay theyre not that good surely?? Correct me if I am wrong, but I do all the fighting in the streets...
Saying all that, I wouldn't mind if it was voted for alot more. I haven't played it in ages. I reckon the new voting system could make it played a bit more with the random map vote.......

I don't really like SG2 that much.

I believe it is completely overrated because of "nostalgia". I never really played it back in the day, SG1 was the only map I played. I don't think it is voted as much because other maps are simply of higher quality.

I think there should be an "Survival Games" or "Nostalgia" lobby where all the original maps are the only ones that can be voted. That would be cool.
