Nobody at mojang or microsoft has made any indication that this is happening, this whole rumor started from a single wall street journal entry and then the rumor spread across the internet with no source like wildfire because of titles like the one on this post, where people read it assume its true and then go telling everyone else.

Honestly I think it is a good and bad thing. Good because Microsoft could make minecraft bigger as it is, but bad because what would happen to minecon? To dinnerbone? Jrb? Notch? They will most likely still own minecraft also but in mojang, so like Microsoft and mojang would own 50% of both. But mojang would make all the updates, ect.

I don't think Microsoft buying Mojang would not be a good idea at all because how I see it is Microsoft would probably would want to make more money from minecraft and would also ruin the game and for other computer users like Mac people. Mojang created Minecraft and it should stay like that with Mojang developing minecraft and not Microsoft. Mojang created the game and Microsoft taking it over would be a terrible idea.

Honestly im kinda sad because I don't think updates will come out as frequently as they usually do. But idk maybe they might do something amazing.

Ahh.. A lot of people say microsoft will ruin minecraft. But I think they will do great things with it. Because they are microsoft. I mean come on. They bought minecraft for 2.5 billion dollars. Pretty sure they wont bumm it.

But... They did try to make the xbox one where you have to pay $10 to share it with someone. And this is where this video came from [Ps4 making fun of Microsoft] but.. They do like to make a lot of money so... They might make us have gold accounts for minecraft online xD

To be completely honest here, I wouldn't mind having Microsoft running Minecraft and buying it. As long as all the communities around the whole Minecraft game, and updates run normally, then I'm A-okay with it!
Heck, they could even have Minecraft to be an already put in desktop game for those willing to have a taste of what it is like. C:
Sad that Notch resigned though. :/
