Think about this in a business way, are people going to explicitly come to our network and/or donate to play this gamemode?
No.

BattleGrounds was introduced to bring a gamemode that new players would like and boost the player count; to me, at least.
Yeah, well some of us prefer to look at the server not as a money-making business machine, but a place where people can have fun. Also, I'm not trying to speak for the Devs here, but would it really be THAT hard to code? They already have made the code for a deathmatch. All they would really have to do is isolate it from the actual game and boom. It's not exactly MCTF2 or Quarter Quell

Did battlegrounds explicitly do this? No.
Donator isn't even required as BG servers rarely get full.
Existing players may come on this gamemode and enjoy it, and if the spots are limited on this gamemode, then players may want to buy donator.

People aren't going to come to MCGamer just to practice deathmatch, play on a kitpvp server... maybe.

My point was is that it wouldn't really attract NEW players, only players that are already on our network and play SG.

/done again
How do you know this? Did Battlegrounds necessarily bring players? Maybe, maybe not but it kept players here and offered something else to do.

You do not need to tag mods, as this thread does not need to be locked :)
