Experience: I've made a few Minecraft YouTube videos, and I also have IRL experience operating a camera.
Good PC?: Good enough to record at 30-60 FPS (with Fraps)

Also, from my experience from Minema and other recording mods, they often don't give good enough FPS to be usable.

I've used CameraStudio and had great FPS, I'm yet to use Minema, just found it today. FRAPS or Bandicam may need to be used sometimes.

Let's face it, without mods, minecraft is boring

Survival minecraft is great! If you have a good grasp of redstone and game mechanics you pretty much never run out of things to do, especially with updates every so often. Just look at Etho- he has a vanilla series at episode 297 that pulls >250k views each episode and he's always working on several projects at once.

I've been playing minecraft since alpha, and every time I try to do something in vanilla minecraft, I get bored easily, which is why I like to play with mods. Mods make the game more interesting and that's what this series needs. Mods like Biblocraft, Ugocraft.

Nah, I'm rather patient. I just find the minecraft on its own doesn't have much to do like in the technic pack. There so much stuff to do it keeps me busy.
