What do you like to see in a map?

As the title says, what do you think makes a map stand out, enjoyable to play on, aesthetically pleasing, and good for PvP?

A few areas of interest: Terraforming, builds, landscape, redstoning.

(Yeah... I'm not really in the mood for a long thread.)

Building, lite castles, houses, churches etc. If they look good and suits the map, then the map is alright.
And potatofarms. Gotta looove them potatofarms.

I don't really have a formal critique system nor a list of implementations that if completed will make your map the best.
All I really look for is something original, and nothing like any other map. There are so many maps with forests and houses and simple builds that make it resemble every other map ever.

I'm not an expert terraformer, but I can tell between a well-terraformed area and garbage, so as long as it isn't garbage it's good.
