I prefer not to listen to music when I play. I find it distracts me from focusing on the game, which usually ends in me losing. I listen to the sound of me running and the hits I land on my enemy's. Also, I can hear footsteps more easily so there is a less chance of me being sneak attacked.

I usually listen to bands like AWOLNATION, TMBG (They Might Be Giants), and Imagine Dragons while playing. Sometimes I listen to some Deadmua5 or skrillex/random-dubstep-5-hour-long-video-on-youtube as well.
