If you were in the situation where you were getting constantly harassed, you'd probably reach your breaking point as well...
This was long before this happened.
Also, if he's getting harassed, he could take a break. He could also look into why there leaving comments like that. He can improve from that. Dave's not innocent. Neither is the community.

Dave has as much to learn from these comments as those who, like myself, had disagreements with Dave in the past. However, unlike me, these people dislike Dave as a person. All of my issues have been with MCGamer policy - most of which were not created and written by just him.

In the long run, I would very much appreciate it if Chad Dunbar did take charge a bit more. Though I cannot claim to have seen behind the curtain, to the public eye, Chad is the Queen of England and the devs and admins are the Parliament, seemingly doing all the work. Dude, if you don't know Java that well, go to Cal Poly and take some classes. If you don't want to be a jack-of-all-trades, Mr. Everything, then at least explain that to us. Tell us why you and the devs delegate so much responsibility TO Dave.

In my experience, Dave and wooders1996 have been quite professional when inflicting disciplinary action and/or in cases that require a certain level of public relations (such as ban disputes). I wouldn't necessarily call Dave a dictator. Yes, the map committee could meet a little more often so that people like @cadbane234 get their work recognized a bit sooner. However, even if he might appear grumpy some days, perhaps all the perceived "power" Dave has is what's actually making him seem like a "dictator." I'd imagine Dave wouldn't appreciate being used as a devmin scapegoat (which is theoretically far more plausible).

Other than that, this whole "corruption" factor has been blown way out of proportion. If it didn't make me sound like a total jerk, I'd attribute it to the young overall age of the MCG member base. I could name a few people on the MCG staff who could improve in a wide variety of ways, but Dave isn't anywhere near the top of the list now that I know a bit more about him and his backstory. Antster, since I've never really had more than two conversations with the boy, isn't really for me to judge.

Granted, the player base most likely is mistaking Dave's and Ant's....sometimes....gruffer demeanors as rude or insensitive. They're merely taking the job seriously. What, do you want staff that's all caffeinated bubbles, laughing, and smiles? NO! MCGamer is an authentic gaming organization that requires administrative decisions in any department to contain a certain amount of weight. They're a non-profit business and they need to treat it as such.

My apologies for the rambling nature of these above paragraphs. I don't particularly plan out my thoughts too well when writing on my phone. It comes from the heart while the head is off, checking the grammar. Anywho, even though I'd like to think of myself as one of MCG's biggest policy critics, hope you enjoyed my defense of thee. Ironically, I did pay $75 for reasons other than the perks.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here.
Anyway, MCG is not a non-profit business. They do make money silly.

In my eyes is the community something that Life855/ Dave cares about more than anyone else. He Takes his Jobs serious. He works 12 hours normally a day. He's there ALL the time for MCGamer. I almost cry wacthing 'our' comments! The hashtag for him, #DaveIsNotAFail2014

Umm.....no one on the MCG staff is an absolute saint either. That seems to be what you're implying. Also, by "works", he (most likely) isn't employed (which is what I meant by calling them non-profit as all the would-be "employees" are volunteers). He's there within the limits of his time. He, like most staff higher than regular moderator, is also difficult to get in touch with. Most of the staff higher than senior mod is usually unreachable through the forum PM system, Teamspeak (poke and PM), and e-mail.

If they don't think you're worth replying to, then your message is "conveniently" lost in the shuffle, spam-filtered, or - in the case of Teamspeak - doesn't get through at all since most admin-ranked staff or higher have Don't Poke/Don't Message on. To Dave's credit, he at least leaves "Don't Message" off. Due to the difference in his timezone to my Pacific one though, I rarely get PMs to him successfully and even more rarely hear replies back from any staff I send TS PMs to then have to go offline.

This isn't a rant at any particular person. It's just my continued rant that the senior staff should be more accessible to the people.

Do you have any facts or anything to back up why you disagree? If so, then by all means state them in a thoughtful and polite matter! They won't get deleted if you do so.

If you have nothing true to back up your claims, I suggest you rethink your opinions.
I should have gone into more detail with my message. I disagree with the mean messages people are saying about dave. I agree that dave is an amazing person and he does a lot of great things for this server. I should have been more specific.

I agree with every point made in this video. I have the utmost respect for you echo. I feel like people blaming Dave for our community's downfall is false. In reality those are the same people that are ruining the community. What I want all the jerks who complain about him to take a quick look in the mirror and realize its their faults for this occurring. Thanks for posting the video :)

If you are talking about punishment, that will only make matters worse. As it has happened many times in MCSG. I can give examples if you'd like.

Why would you delete it, it's simply their opinion. Opinions have to be voiced inside MCSG to make it better. It's not like any of them were doing in a rude manner, anyways.
Please, and it might not be punishment but people obviously don't like this guy... :/

My opinion is my opinion, and this video gives me all of my facts...
