Sticks are still really useful for crafting, and you can also use them for cooking things. So it's still a problem. What's wrong with just swimming?

Whats wrong with swimming is that it is really slow. Just the small sticks thing isnt gonna stop the boats being added. If we have to we can just skip the furnaces.
