Yes you are correct! We just get our mod ranks so we can join full servers, even though most of us started off with a lifetime donation.

I think you're remembering it wrong. MCSG was never perfect or close to it. I remember dying to hackers and teamers and getting really mad at them, borderline abusive back in 2013.

It's all just a case of "the good old days".

I dont remember saying all mods were like this? Think before you type things. In fact I have myself applied for mod. Sorry if I offended you while saying this but this is not directed to all mods, but a large number of mods who do this, maybe no majority, but a large number

You actually kind of did say that by generalizing that "mods only get their rank to join games faster and be able to kick and ban people". You didn't specify that you think most mods get the rank for donor, and instead generalized that all of them do. Just saying.

"Being able to kick and ban people" are two prime aspects of our daily job, so I'm not entirely sure as to where you were getting towards with that statement.

"Joining games faster" is just moreorless a feature that us staff are provided with for achieving quite a 'special' rank if you will (Which is primarily why donators have access to it as well - they contributed to the server in regards to funding, alongside with the moderator rank for contribution and many other different aspects and reasons) and we can't exactly prevent that.
