I understand completely where you are coming from with your reaction, yet I do not like it. When someone slights you and belittles you (though I do not believe the denial of VIP was an example of this, the rest of the behavior described definitely is) it is normal to be hesitant at helping them in the future. From this point, it seems logical (though not necessarily the best idea) to make TSG3 a Hive exclusive for a month. However, keeping it permanently from MCSG is, in my opinion, or a good course of action.
The first point is obviously publicity, but as you have made clear, that does not matter; what is at stake is the ethics of the situation. At this point however, your argument (if I can call it that without demeaning it), kind of falls down in my estimation. Chad has hurt you in a way he really has no right to do, yes, but that is no reason to take revenge on all of MCSG. Chad is just one man, while MCSG is a community of millions, the majority of whom like and respect your team and absolutely love our maps (me included). You argue that you are morally obligated to keep the map away from MCSG, but that hurts so many more people then the one man who wronged you, and thus you lose the moral high ground.
I want to point out, I am not trying to force you to put the map here, or to ignore your feelings in the situation. I agree with what you have said, and I will respect whatever you decide to do, but I think a different course of action would be more beneficial for all. By releasing the map to MCSG a month late and doing no more than that, you get back at Chad without permanently hurting the thousands of MCSG members who love to play your maps. So, though it is unlikely that Chad will turn around and begin acting differently, I would urge you to please reconsider, because I, and many other members of the community love your maps and would hate for it to be withheld from us because of something Chad did.
