Note that when I say "big" I mean not the size of the map, but the amount of sheer memory-eating... stuff that goes on in it. Just having a lot of blocks, even snow blocks, doesn't do that kind of thing.
Suffice it to say that I've tested a switch near spawn on that map with a sign next to it, instant disconnect from the game when I (and a couple others) hit it. I tested it, like, 3 times and it happened every time without fail.
To be honest, now that I think about it, the redstone must have...
Today with my newfound donor powers I restarted my Minecraft so that it would have the maximum amount of RAM to work with when I noticed that one server was bound to play Survival Games 5 (the snowy one for you noobs).
Now, I tried to be smart and not activate any redstone (anyone who's seen my...
Sorry, I'm not snapping at you in particular, I just wish that the people who'd made this poll had added a third option to remove both maps. After all, I'm far from the first person to suggest removing both of the maps in this thread, and we can't know what the community truly wants unless we...
... I know that's the point because that's the very definition of Survival. If you want some mindless/endless PVP server where any scrub can win then there's puh-lenty of those here and elsewhere, but it shouldn't be the case here on these servers.
No, it doesn't just suck for me, it sucks for everyone. The entire point of the Hunger Games maps is to benefit the strong and lucky and weed out the weak and unfortunate. Making a map that equalizes everyone with access to a friggin Fishing Rod is almost entirely opposed to that train of thought.
Uh dude, that's clearly not the case, like I said before I've been on a server with TONS of other plebs like myself and only a few donors and I was kicked. So unless there was just a massive surge of donors every single time, I think there's a bug in the kicking program.
Alright, let me start out by saying that I totally understand and even agree with the whole concept of having donors get priority playing on maps. I have to ask, though, if it's possible to have the player who's been kicked also be the player who was the most recent entree?
Just in the past 3...
The part about needing little to no skill to play Demon's is also a good point, while it may be funny and exhilarating for YOU to punch someone into lava when they have full armor and you have none, that is not indicative of a good game, that's the sign of an indiscriminate map, an equalizer...
While I voted for Freeze, I'd say to get rid of both as well, but I want to get rid of D's Breeze for a different reason: the games are so freaking short! Seriously, I can barely even get to any chests before everyone else has either died from combat or falling into the lava pit, causing the...
While I would accept that under normal circumstances (and I'm certainly not going to mess with that anymore XD ), I've dealt with other map's redstone creations with little to no problem, so unless there's a buttload of wiring going on behind that switch I don't understand what could be causing...
I know it seems that I only use this account to whine, but TBH I haven't found another use for it yet. Also I figured that this thread should go here since it pertains to a specific map.
Anyway I've tested this 3 times and it happens without fail: when I hit the switch on SG5 that has that...
I feel I must put in my two cents as well, that being that maybe we should fine tune the Nocheat+ just a bit. Just today I played two games where this "rubber banding" happened, one in my favor, one in the other player's. Either way it's incredibly annoying to deal with, especially when it...
I know that a lot of the problems that the survival games have is because of a miscommunication between the plugins and Minecraft itself, but crashes and such seem to happen with a much greater frequency on the 48 player servers in comparison to the 24 ones. My question is, why even have the 48s...
