Nowadays everyone opts for the small maps. I mean, look at the PMC competition. Most likely Quartz Laboratory will win, even though it is the smallest map on there by far, it still get's voted over colossal caverns (My personal favorite). These types of maps are just pandering to the demographic of guys who just want to win, win ,win without any stopping. It's become more about wins than it has about fun. People would rather have the short games where they can rack up the wins, than long, exciting and tense game. While I never played Hungry Hills enough to get a opinion on it, if it is anything like Sg1 and Sg3 then i'm all for it returning.

If the map is brought back, it better have 4x more chests, as that was the other issue I had with it besides it being too big.

I think the main reason it's not picked as much is because of there has been some trouble with it. (Lobby games, Chests not filling, things that should work are not)

I was going to reply to this with a long message but I just decided to make it its own thread. Which can be seen here

4 times more chests? Are you crazy? Hungry Hills has a chest every 3o square blocks. It seems that people were hating it too much to notice.

IF anything, he should remove some chests! This map was absolutely amazing. I wish that MCSG had it back.

Why, exactly? If we don't know why, we can't do anything about it!

correct it had loads of chests the reason people were hating it is cos they were the idiots who like obvious chests everywhere which is why we have maps like sg 4 and breeze island they started getting overplayed when the idiots that hated it started complainging about the awesome hidden chest maps like hungry hills, skylands survival, yellow stone

I don't think they were idiots, per se. Maybe just confused. :p

Every 30 blocks? What makes a map popular? Chests. Chests. Chests. Survival Games 4 has some five blocks away from each other. Same goes with Breeze Island, not to mention the popular Valleyside. If you want the map back, and people to like it--simply have more chests.

It's a physiological habit really. The dopamine releasing in our brains when we open a chest makes maps like SG4, Breeze and Valleyside addicting.
