They technically get 3 chances to show they will not do it again, if they continue to do whatever they were doing after being muted 3 times then they will be fairly permanent muted, i feel its a fair way to see if this person is worthy of chat permissions when in the act of doing something wrong.

I disagree. We give a minimum of 3 warnings (3 mutes basically) before permanently muting someone. If you think that we're playing around when we ask you to stop in terms of mutes, and you think you're immune from permanent punishment; then we're going to permanently punish you. As Moderator's, well at least for me, I hate perma muting people because they've lost all privileges of chat for the rest of their lives on that account, but if you deserve it, then you're going to get it. Just my thoughts, I mean, we all have opinions. :)
I have no issues with the things that cause you to be muted, so I don't believe in the sorts of punishment that gets dished out. That means I also don't think people should be muted for life as there will always be trashtalk on the internet.

In my opinion, it should be two chances until a permanent mute :3

Honestly, I can see why people do permanent mutes though :)

Like most people said before. We only give out perm-mutes to people who have had 4 offenses of the same punishment before. So you would think they would have learned their lesson from getting muted 4 times.

Fair enough. If I'm completely honest, it's arguable with each specific scenario, but we don't have enough time to argue each specific scenario as there are thousands of them. :p

yeah but it's just dumb small stuff 4 times and you're permamuted

kind of a big deal if you use the account for clan battles and need to write lineups etc
Here is a fairly simple solution: Do not break the rules, and you won't end up muted, or even better yet, permanently muted.

Just to clarify a lot about how certain situations are dealt with, this is the way people are punished after making a certain offence.

Anyway, I personally would like to see something like having people being muted for a year insteed of permanent.

It still think a year is a bit excessive. If I couldn't chat for a year I'd probably leave. I'd make it a month as it's not quite so extreme.

One months isn't enough for someone to grow up.

2 months then. I can play this game all day.
Well, I'm still thinking a year would fit better. If someone decided to break the same rule 4 time I don't believe they'll learn from their mistakes in a mere 1 or 2 months

I think if they play frequently, they'd get frustrated without being able to talk. After a couple months, they'd understand what they did wrong. Maybe I'm just speaking for myself, but I just think a year is overkill.

Ohwell, it's a common thing that two people might think differently about a matter :)
