Community Poll: Leaderboards Reset with Newest Update?

  • Yes. I support Legacy Leaderboards, new statistics to track, and a global leaderboards reset.

What I'm getting from this is basically "We don't care about our old, valued players because those who haven't donated already probably won't. We want new players to like the server so they will donate and we'll get more money."
star sticker for you girl.

I came back just to vote 'no', I thought it was logical to do.

Most high ranked players don't play for #1, they play for fun and just rank up as much as they could. My high ranked friends were like: "well if the leaderboards reset, I think that's a calling for me to quit/take a break.
That's not really how it works. If someone's primary goal is to climb the leaderboards, they're trying to achieve something. Whether that be getting to the top 10 pages or the #1 spot, they're still trying to get somewhere.
Think about this: if someone's trying to be highly ranked, wouldn't they take the leaderboards reset as a good thing, so they can more easily achieve their goal?
Your highly-ranked friends might simply need to learn to let go.
Their old statistics would still be archived, so they're not exactly losing anything at all. They're only being given a new opportunity.

Sure the poll doesn't mean anything, but why the leaderboard resets? Why reset the leaderboards and stats if NUMBERS don't matter?I mean that's what almost all of you said. Work your way to the top, life is not fair, you have to work on it yourself. This is really getting hypocritical, it's like stealing all the money the beggar earned and you say, "Just earn it again, ask more people, make it a challenge." This is really irritating. I say no to leaderboards reset. I prefer keeping my stats. No to leaderboard resets, no to legacy leaderboard, and no to polls. If you are counting on polls, then this is unfair. Tons of noob who join mcsg just took away my second chance to atleast to go to the top. Not fair. Hello and bye mcsg. (I am too lazy to correct typos and errors, just as lazy as trying to get my stats back up again.)

Yes! All of my yes! This is an amazing idea. The introductions of new statistics is awesome too; it would be way better than the current very straight forwards statistics. I don't see how this would affect people with good statistics that tried very hard. If they truly are that good then they will still do well on the leader boards, plus the old statistics are saved anyway. Everyone's hard work is still able to be seen, it just isn't updated. I really do not see the problem there.

This idea is wonderful and it is overdue. I am excited to see this implemented.

If you'd like to get to the top, it would very beneficial having the leaderboards reset. If your friends would like to get to the top, wouldn't it be simpler to get a handful of wins instead of several thousand?

EDIT: Just noticed the fairly even poll. Noice.

No, by doing this people will get encouraged to not play mcsg. For example gravey4rd, he has spent years getting to number one, if I was him and the leaderboards gets reset I would quit because, all the hard work I have spent getting to 4000 wins might not ever happen again. My main point is no, people that spent years and getting in the top one-thousand and it was thrown away..... I would just quit.
If they are that good than can't they get to the top again?
