The message was supposed to be read in between the lines, and there was some pretty big spacing inbetween those lines.

Basically, terrain refers to those slight elevation and depressions in the land. Look at Valleyside University or SG4. Look specifically at expanses of land with not many buildings, you'll see that the land level varies, it'll go up a block here, down a block there, and so forth. This adds dimension to chases, and the possibility that maybe, hopefully, your annoying runner will be caught on one of these and fall into your wanting hands.

What I'd recommend is to create these interesting lands is to either a) go around with a small(3-5)ball brush (with voxelsniper) and overlay all the flat land with these balls, and then blend it over, or you can b) raise and lower the ground with the /b e melt and /b e lift commands, but remember to re-smooth/blend the land afterwards :)

How's that for helpful criticism? Nintendonuts GibbyMC

EDIT: to make your lives even easier and this post more useful, I went out and captured some example screenshots: http://imgur.com/zRlwgw8,6vkTJAN,QO0gpQI

Also, sorry for the late response, I was out all weekend :/
This map does show some terraforming (not a lot, not that I looked back at it again). Also, you can't expect everyone to read in between your lines.

It's missing terraforming in the valley part of the map, where people are most likely to be. And that lack of terraforming makes the map really, really, boring.

I'm sorry, but throughout the whole valley there is terraforming. The only areas that are quite flat are corn and the vineyards. There are small rises/dips all over the map. The screenshots show this. Please, if you're going to critcisie our terraforming, then at least please know exactly what it's like, as the map does contain what you have said it needs.

Thanks

P.S if you still don't believe me, I'll be happy to go take some screenshots to show what I mean.

Very bland, pictures don't show that much of the map and I don't think this will get accepted

Looking back over the pictures, I can see visible rises, but I still don't think it's enough. Many people say that flat land is good for pvp, and it is, if you're talking about a 20x20 pvp arena. However, a survival games is much more than that, and the land needs to be much more varied, resulting in an ultimately more interesting and successful SG map.

Dont mean to sound offencive, but the cornicopia looks like it needs to be redone from scratch. Maybie you should remove the tree and put more variation.

What?!

First off, I had to read this comment three times just to understand it as your spelling and grammar is quite bad. The tree provides a bit of cover, whilst still giving off the image of a barren clearing. As for block variation, there is plenty of it, just look at the ground. I believe that it is a low key but still well designed spawn. Look at some other cornucopias, The overall idea doesn't vary too much.

There was no need to point out grammer and call him out like that, he is entitled to his opinion and you should be open to critism even if you dont agree with it. He is right, although you have some block variation you are lacking detail with corn. i like the basis of your idea behind spawn it just needs more detail.
