I might go for a better processor, i7 and higher ghz. Also I greatly prefer windows 7 to 8.

Yeah, getting windows 7 professional, most likely. i5 is fine for gaming. i7's are much more expensive and don't have much more features that will improve gaming experience, sourced by many reviews. Might look at higher ghz.

Ok, for most gaming.
i5 is enough

Ram faster than 1600MHz is unessisary unless you don't have a dedicated graphics card OR you're going a lot of photoshop, 3D rendering, video editing

8 performs a lot better than 7 in many situations, if you install a start button (like I have) it just becomes a better windows 7

That Gigabyte is a newer version of what I have, It's good if you need a lot of connectivity.
ASRock usually gets good reviews

If you can avoid it, don't game on OSX, and if you do, do it on a hackintosh.
Does this look good?
Gigabyte GA-Z87M-D3H LGA 1150 Motherboard
Very good price, and looks sick.

Also, i was just wondering about the mac part. My macbook pro can get up to 50 fps with tiny render distance etc. But i'm mainly looking for a desktop so that i can play Hexxit at 100fps+ because i get it at 5FPS ;_;
